I wasn’t really sure what this blog was going to be about when I started it, but now I like to think of it as my journal for my projects and my thoughts. Open for the world to see. I kinda like it that way too, as I pretty much don’t have much to hide when it comes to sharing information.
I love learning things. I just don’t know why but layers of abstraction just don’t cut it with me when it comes to understanding something. Whether it be electrons orbiting an atom, or how python interpreters compile my scripts down to assembly, how synthetic basketball ball rubber is created and made, how computers send information to and from each other, the list I could write could go on forever. I can accept layers of abstraction to get a major point across, but if its high in my level of interest, I am going to want to know what goes on underneath the hood eventually.
As you might have guessed from this blog, I love computers. Its my biggest area of interest (and my passion), whether it be operating systems running on embedded chips, or a nice JavaScripty web page. Hardware or software. I want to learn as much as I can in my lifetime about all ends of computers, but as a lot of people know, its a fast paced place to be. And so I struggle to learn as much as I can about them. I am not sure where this self driven urge to learn comes from, but today I saw quite a few videos on YouTube about how humans strive to create problems to try and solve, and I think that is easily done in the computer world. You can identify a problem without even thinking sometimes, and that, I think, is the reasoning behind my determination.
